Tone's New Project

In my quest to find myself as a business man, many of you know I have occupied many jobs and experimented with many different business opportunities. To perpetuate my stereotype of having ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) when it comes to maintaining an entrepreneurship venture (Lord knows I have too many $1,000,000 ideas, but zero dollars to show for it), today I picked up another one. My friends and I created launched our very own social networking site (i.e. Facebook.com or Myspace.com) and Blog called: YFF. What does YFF mean? It can mean anything u want. We believing in living life by your own set of standards; maintaining a mindset that is positive, fun, & foreword-thinking. We wanted a website to express our opinions regarding what we think is socially interesting and/or intellectually simulating...and report things that are NOT so mainstream. So we created www.YFF365.com Come check it out! Log in, sign up for an account, and begin meeting new people and voicing your opinion. Your cousin personally blogs on it everyday as an editor. so tune in. 2 years from now you never know...it could be the next big thing. If it is not, however, I'll still have a lot of fun in the process.

Signing off,
Tone aka The Family Heckler

My Turn

After all the stressful and restless nights during finals week, I finally get the opportunity to post my first message on the Family Blog. So I guess for my first comment I would have to mention "I'M FINALLY DONE WITH MY SECOND YEAR OF COLLEGE!!!" Sometimes I wonder how you did it Tone, and I guess I didn't realize it when you told me how the quarter system is no joke. I think its borderline ridiculous to have a school system consists of three main sessions of extensive cramming and stress. You spend days at the library, hours of stress, minutes of sleep just for a few seconds of fun. I could have sworn life was supposed to have those activities in the opposite order. I'm starting to realize how today's education does nothing but teach us the fundamentals of cramming. And the grade we get in the class is simply curved around who can stay awake the longest. Aside from my frustration for school, I'm just ecstatic that I'm already halfway through my college career. Crazy huh? Time really doesn't wait for anyone. And as I keep scrolling down the page and see my little niece not so little anymore it creeps me out because I honestly don't know what my future holds. As much as I continually attempt to shape it everyday by going to college, living on my own, and working minimum wage jobs, I'm still lost as to what this shape will finally be. They say college is where a kid becomes a man, where you discover who you are and what you want to do in life. However, I'm half way through and not even Mapquest can give me directions. I guess, two years is a lot of time, but it really scares me that in the next two years I will more than likely make some of the biggest decisions of my life. The decisions that will pave my pathway for the next 30 or so years of my life. The only conclusions that I am drawing from life is getting older sucks! The older I get, the more responsibilities I obtain. I reminisce on days when I was Sam's age, where responsibility means nothing more than fixing a bed or washing the spoon and bowl that I used for cereal. And now, not even officially a real adult, I'm starting to foresee the struggles that life reserves for human beings.

Ok well enough of the uncertainty in my life. What is certain is that 1. I declared my major as Economics about 2 weeks ago (Not like I wasn't always going to do it but I officially declared it). 2. I'm thinking of picking up a minor which I am uncertain about. I've been thinking about minoring in Photography, but it is a little uncertain right now. Ate, since you wanted to see some of the stuff I shot with my camera, this is my last project I did for my class that had the theme: LOVE. But since I can't upload raw files on here then these pictures are not edited because I didn't save a jpg version>>>

Well that's enough for now, I'll continue some other time, it's 4:47am and I think it's time to go to bed. My sleep cycle is all messed up because of finals week.

Congratulations Sam!!!

Chan and Tone Racing

There were no seats at Cal's Graduation so we all hung out by the grass. Tone says that he can out run Chan but Chan doesn't think so.

Chan: "I can't run in these sandals I don't have enough grip. Tone let me wear your sandals."
Tone: "Yea right Chan I'm still gonna beat you either way. Dang Chan dang."
Chan: "Tone let's go race."
Tone: "Alright Chan, but don't be mad if I beat you."
Chan: "You won't beat me." <---so she thinks

Here's a video of Chanda and Tone racing. Tone is so fast you can't even see him. Pay close attention to the winner. Enjoy!!!! Recorded by j. manos

The Valdez Blog- Info, Rules, & Instructions *Please Read*

Hello Family! First I would like to thank Chan for taking the lead on creating the family blog. She did an amazing job! Chan has always tried her best to preserve the memories of our family through family picture albums, family event gatherings, & the creation of family newsletters, such as these. There is no doubt that Grandma Cion is very very proud of her strong predilection for family unity, and how she has matured into such a family-oriented woman.

Seeing as though we are all getting older, our lives ever more complicated and busy, it has become increasingly difficult for the family to stay in touch. Blogs serve as a hybrid between the headlines located on the front page of a newspaper & the notes scribbled on one's own personal diary. Blogs allows every member of the blog group (our family, in this case) to stay abreast of the events, experiences, and accomplishments that are simultaneously going on in all of our family members' lives. This technology serves us well, especially since we have family, such as my Mom, Uncle Ray, Gerome, GericoAmberJaylaJordis, & now Auntie Trudy, who either live far, or our constantly on the move. Instead of trying to track the down their latest cellphone number or country code, you merely spend a couple of minutes on the Blog site and compose a message (similar to an email) for all the members to see. Blogs are a innovative communication tool and I truly believe will help shrink the noticeable distance that we have been feeling as a collective family over the past few years, and will slowing begin the process forward of uniting us as one...with each and every post. For this Blog to carry out the aforementioned goals, we must abide by 2 simple rules: (1) Check in and Read the Blog Daily! Make it your internet homepage. (2) Be an active member and Post messages! We are all family and we love each other. We all care and want to know how ALL of our family is doing. Do NOT just read other members posts. Let us know how YOU are doing, and what you have going on in your life. If all of us remain commitment to these rules, this project will surely be a Success.

Love,

Tone

Congratulations Calvin Manosa!

Today our little Calbino graduated from Diamond Bar H.S.
Those in attendance:
Calvin Manosa (of course)and the rest of the Manosa Family: Uncle Bing, Auntie Mher, Jessica and Carla.
The Vizmanos Family came to visit too! Auntie Trudy, Gerico's wife Amber and kids, Jordis and Jayla.
Tony Valdez
And us, the Alicante family: Paul, Alexa and I. We're missing Sam!!!
It was crowded at Cal's graduation. We headed back to Auntie Mher's for Jessica's yummy cupcakes and coffee!

This is when we all decided that we should have a way to communicate with the family. We tried to start a newsletter a couple of years back, but it wasn't convenient for everyone to receive. This is when we thought to start a FAMILY BLOG... OUR family blog. As a means for the family to get in touch and write something quick about what's going on with your own personal world. Share with the whole family any events that might be taking place or have taken place. Share new pics of the kids or yourself or travels. Or just send out a "hi" to those who read. Bookmark this blog so that you can check out all the newest updates. Write comments to each of the blog entrys!

To blog, please send me your email address and I will email you the user name and password. If you're not familiar with how to blog, please click on this link for helpful guide on how to post. Or just send an email to me at the email below.

Send your emails to: valdezfamilyemail@gmail.com
This is the same email that is attached to this blog.
I hope to hear from all of you soon! Much love - Chan
